Lapin and Pudivitr for the WBA Continental belt in Riyadh

Ukrainian fighter Daniel Lapin and Portuguese-born Octavio Pudivitr, who now calls Mozambique home, are set to clash this Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, vying for the WBA Continental light heavyweight title.

Their matchup will be a highlight in the Ring Of Fire event, which will also see Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk facing British boxer Tyson Fury for the heavyweight championship titles.

Standing tall at 1.98m and aged 26, Lapin enters the ring as the favorite, backed by Usyk-17 Promotions. Known for his powerful punches and longer reach, Lapin boasts an undefeated record in 9 fights, with his last three victories coming by way of knockout.

Pudivitr, on the other hand, faces an uphill battle. At 1.80m and 36 years of age, he is gearing up for only his second fight outside of Portugal. His previous international bout ended in disappointment, as he suffered a unanimous decision loss in Germany nearly a year ago, marking his sole defeat in 10 professional fights.
