Nwokolo defeated Barraza to become new WBA-NABA champion 

Emeka Nwokolo of Nigeria seized the vacant WBA-NABA super welterweight title by defeating Jeovanis Barraza of Colombia in an impressive display on Saturday at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Nwokolo showcased his dominance and skill in the ring, earning unanimous decision victory with scores of 120-108, 120-108, and 118-110. Despite Barraza’s courage and determination, Nwokolo proved to be the superior fighter.

At 31 years old, Nwokolo is currently enjoying a successful period in his career. This victory marks his sixth consecutive win, propelling him to claim the NABA regional belt and paving the way for future opportunities.

On the other hand, Barraza made a comeback after a lengthy hiatus but suffered his third consecutive defeat. Despite putting up a brave fight, he was unable to match Nwokolo’s tenacity.

With this win, Nwokolo’s record now stands at 13 wins, 1 loss, and 11 knockouts, while Barraza’s record is 23 wins, 4 losses, and 15 knockouts.
