Rafael Espinoza successfully defended his WBO featherweight title by defeating Sergio Chirino in the fourth round of their fight. Espinoza, who shocked the boxing world by defeating Robeisy Ramirez in a thrilling match last December, continued his winning streak by dominating Chirino, despite the latter’s No. 2 ranking by the WBO. The middleweight prospects, who have yet to make a significant impact in their careers, engaged in a rough contest filled with fouls. Isley, now 13-0, won with scores of 96-92, 97-91, and 97-91, while Martinez’s record dropped to 10-1-1.
