USYK IS ALREADY IMMORTAL

Oleksandr Usyk, the Ukrainian left-handed boxer, created history in the world of boxing on Saturday. He emerged victorious over Tyson Fury in a close split decision at the Kingdom arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This win not only makes him the first unified heavyweight world champion in the era of the 4 belts (WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO), but also the second to achieve this feat in 25 years after Lennon Lewis achieved it in 1999. Usyk, aged 37, was able to defeat his opponent Fury, who held the WBC title, and become the undisputed champion of his country. With multiple world and Olympic titles to his name, Usyk’s legacy in boxing is secured. The fight with Fury was intense and met all expectations, keeping the audience at the edge of their seats throughout. Despite being shorter than Fury, Usyk proved his skill and determination by outboxing his opponent. The decisive moment came in the ninth round when Usyk unleashed a series of punishing blows, almost knocking Fury down. The judges scored in favor of Usyk, solidifying his position as the undisputed champion. The fight ended with fury already planning a rematch, showing that in Riyadh, skill ultimately triumphed over strength.
