Rodriguez rejoins Top Rank, returns June 29 in Miami

After nearly three years of separation, super lightweight contender Elvis Rodriguez has returned to Top Rank, just in time for his upcoming fight on June 29th as part of the Teofimo Lopez versus Steve Claggett undercard.

Expressing his excitement about being back with the promotion, Rodriguez stated, “It feels like coming home. Top Rank has always been where I belong. They helped me become a star, and they will help me become a champion. I can’t wait for June 29th. Elvis is finally making his return! It’s been a long break, the longest of my career, but my focus is at 100% for June 29th.”

Despite Top Rank letting him go in 2021 following a loss to Kenneth Sims Jr, Rodriguez (15-1-1, 13 KO) found success with PBC, winning four consecutive fights, including a dominant victory over Viktor Postol last July.

Rodriguez’s resilience and talent have impressed many, and his return to Top Rank has provided the promotion with another strong contender for Lopez, should he win his upcoming fight and decide against exploring free agency. Stay tuned for updates on his opponent for the June 29th showdown.
